Top Female Recruit
|
Presented to a level 1 cadet. The female cadet is selected base on interest, attendance, attitude and the activities they are participating in.

Top Male Recruit
|
Presented to a level 1 cadet. The male cadet is selected base on interest, attendance, attitude and the activities they are participating in.

Top 2nd Year Cadet
|
This award goes to a level 2 cadet. It is based on their overall cadet performance, interest, involvement and attendance.

Top 3rd Year Cadet
|
This award goes to a level 2 cadet. It is based on their overall cadet performance, interest, involvement and attendance.

|
Most Progressive Cadet
|
Presented to the cadet in which the staff feels has progressed the most during the training year. The cadet makes a very strong attempt to participate in most or all activities, an improvement in their attendance, work & over all performance is strongly present.

|
Top Shot Award
|
Over the course of the training year, cadets will be provided with many opportunities to shoot at targets using the Daisy Air Rifle. The Top Shot Award is awarded to the cadet who shoots the overall best score.

Best Contribution to the Senior Drill Team
|
This prestigious award is presented to the cadet that the Drill Team Commander & Officer feels excelled during the course of the year in drill, their deportment, esprit de core, attendance and attitude.
|
|
Best Contribution to the Junior Drill Team
|
The Jr. Drill Teams consists of new recruits, level 1’s and 2’s. It is presented to the individual who shows great improvement in their drill, who works hard and to the person who the commander and officer feels that excelled the most during the training.

Top Flight
|
Over the year, the Squadron is broken down into 3 flights (groups). Over the course of the year the flights participate in friendly competitions which are scored. Uniforms marks taken each Monday night also contribute to the flights marks. The flight with the top mark wins.

Best Junior NCM
|
Awarded to a Corporal (Cpl). The cadet is noticed to work hard, maintain a high uniform standard, have perfect or near perfect attendance and demonstrates great leadership qualities.

|
Best Senior NCM
|
Awarded to a Sergeant (Sgt.) or Flight Sergeant (F/Sgt) who great leadership qualities, Esprit de Core, maintains a high uniform standard & has high attendance.
|
|
Flying Training Award
|
Presented to the cadet who shows a deep interest to the flying program. Who attends the flying training held by HMCS Cabot during the first portion of the training year and whom obtains a Pass on their Flying Training Exam.

|
Top Aircrew Survival Cadet
|
The award for the top Aircrew Survival cadet is awarded to the cadet that the Aircrew Survival training staff deems has excelled in the area of PO 419, Aircrew Survival. Much of this award is based on the cadet’s performance on the field training exercises. This award is not necessarily awarded to cadets who have completed the Introduction to Survival Training Course or Survival Instructors Course; it can be awarded to any cadet regardless of level or seniority.

Most Enthusiastic Cadet
|
Presented to the cadet who shows amazing interest, who participates, who shows esprit de core to his/her fellow cadets and whom is enthusiastic about the programs and the activities presented.

|
Brightest Contribution to CAP
|
This award is presented on the advise of the CAP leaders. Awarded to the cadet who is a dedicated member of the CAP team. This individual may have over come personal stage fright, may have presented a strong presence during the practices and was a great asset to the team.

100% Attendance
|
This award is available to ALL cadets. It is based on their Monday night attendance. We will grant an excused for exam time only.
|
|
Best Dressed Recruit
|
This award is presented to a first year cadet. Cadets are marked on their uniform each Monday night. The person who receives the best over all mark is the recipient of the award.

|
Best Dressed Cadet
|
This award is open to levels 2-5 (excluding the Warrant Officers). Cadets are marked on their uniform each Monday night. The person who receives the best over all mark is the recipient of the award.

|
Public Speaking Award
|
Cadets participate in various public speaking contests during the year for the NL Detachment and for the Air Cadet League. Cadets who participate are nominated for this award.

The Commanding Officer’s Award
|
This award goes to the cadet who stands out the most as observed by the Commanding Officer.
|
|
Best Contribution to the Band
|
Presented to the band cadet who contributes extra time and effort and displays leadership with the band.
|
|
Most Outstanding Bands Person
|
Presented to the individual who excels with the band program and shows demonstrates knowledge & assists others.
|
|
Most Improved Bands Person
|
This award is presented to the cadet who the band staff has noticed the most improved in their playing skills and overall music development.
|
|
Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence
|
This Medal is awarded to in recognition for the individual endeavors in citizenship that meet or enhance the aims and objectives of the cadet movement. Cadets must have meet all requirements of the units training plan. Have participated in a minimum of three community service events and enhanced the cadet unit through cooperation with peers and subordinates by promoting goodwill and morale within the unit and supporting and assisting fellow cadets and involvement in the local community.

Lord Strathcona Trust Medal
|
This Medal is the highest award that can be bestowed upon a cadet in recognition of exemplary performance in physical and military training. Each squadron may nominate one cadet for consideration each year but not all nominations are selected. To be nominated, a cadet must have achieved a high level of physical fitness, completed at least 3 years of training, attended at least one advanced summer training course and have near perfect attendance.

Presented to Level 5 cadets for long term service to the cadet program.
